Where can I use my membership?

All of our current Town Pump Express Wash locations (Butte, Great Falls, Helena, Billings) and all future locations.

Why do I need to provide credit card information to start a membership?

Just like any other subscription (i.e. Netflix, Amazon Prime, Spotify, etc.), a form of payment is needed to join. All transactions are on a monthly automatic recurring schedule until you cancel the membership. You can always call us or come to the wash and talk with a team member to cancel.

Why do I have to give out my personal information when signing up for a membership?

We take our guests' private information very seriously and would do nothing to compromise this trust. You can count on us! We ask for this information in case we have to get ahold of you about your membership. Nothing more!

Do you clean the interior of my car?

Since we are an express, we specialize in exterior washing. However, we do provide free vacuums, free mat washers, and an interior detailing kit at a low cost.

Why do you need my email address?

We don’t want our members to miss out on anything! We ask for your email address for another way to contact you regarding the car wash, whether it be things changing in the wash, promotions, holiday greetings, information on when we are closed, etc.

Is there insurance if my vehicle gets damaged?

We want to be transparent. While we are confident in our abilities to give your car a great experience, sometimes accidents happen, and when they do, our team is readily equipped to respond. That said, we ask that you also do your part and make sure that you follow the guidelines we have in place to ensure a clean, shiny, and dry wash every time. There is signage at our sites before you enter the wash that explains in detail our requirements.

What's the fingernail rule?

If a fingernail is required to scrape off the material, our brushes won't do the same on the first try. Luckily, with unlimited washes via our Always Clean Club, the bug guts won't have a chance to get baked on! The more often you visit, the better off your car will be.

Why don't you have a team member pre-scrub the vehicles?

We do a safer version of auto-prepping via our detergent! The first arch your car goes under is in charge of automatically dissolving the bug guts right off your vehicle. Scrubbing at your car with a brush would only interrupt this effective process and possibly damage your vehicle.

How does the conveyor system work?

Our conveyor is industry-leading and provides a stress-free car washing experience. To load your car, slow your vehicle down as you enter the wash, stop, and ease it into Neutral once prompted by the screen.

When are you washing cars?

We love the safety of your vehicle as much as you do! We are open daily from 7AM-9PM*, but when the weather changes and it gets colder we do not wash cars if it is 10 degrees or colder.

*Billings Express Wash closes at 8 p.m.

Why does a team member check my truck bed?

We know this might seem odd, but it's actually for a good reason. Days are busy, and sometimes it's easy to forget what was placed in your truck bed (i.e., tools, garbage, firewood, etc.). We check your truck to make sure there is nothing that could potentially damage our car wash and, most importantly, other vehicles.

Do each of my vehicles need its own membership?

Yes, each car needs its own membership, but multiple cars can be entered under the same credit card and account.

Are the vacuums and mat washers free?

Yes, they are! Our vacuums and mat washers are available for our guests during normal business hours (7AM-9PM). If you have trouble locating the mat washers, ask one of our team members for assistance.

Are there any vehicle limitations?

While we would love to say that we can wash ANY vehicle, the reality is that it might not be best for either party. We cannot accept certain vehicles due to aftermarket parts, bike racks, hitches, rust, age, and so on. We also cannot have vehicles taller than 7’2” or wider than 98” wide.

I am trying to manage my membership online or in the app but I'm getting an error...

We are aware that the connection to our car wash sites via the membership management tool (website or in our app) has not been functioning. As of 1/8/25, the connection has been restored and we are actively monitoring it for any future hiccups.

The form to manage memberships is saying it can't find my membership, what could be wrong?

Your license plate number must be entered with the state code in order to be recognized by our system. For example: If your license plate number is ABC 1234 and was issued by the state of Montana you should enter ABC1234-MT into the form.

Do I need my license plate number to cancel my plan or update my credit card on file?

Yes. If you no longer have the license plate please contact us or come by the wash for assistance.

I have a new vehicle. How do I transfer my pass to another vehicle?

Please visit the wash location to transfer your membership to a new vehicle.

Can I change my plan level online?

No, you will need to stop by the wash location to change plans.

How long does it take for my plan to be cancelled?

Your plan will continue to be active until your next billing date. You may continue to wash your vehicle during this time.

Will I receive a refund after cancelling my plan?

No, you will not receive a refund. Your plan remains active until your next billing date.

Will I receive an email confirmation after I change my credit card or cancel my plan?

Yes, you will receive an email confirmation after you submit your request.

What if I change my mind after I submit my cancellation request?

You will need to stop by the wash location to reactivate your plan.

What if I want to reactivate my membership?

You will need to stop by the wash location to reactivate your plan.
